Do you need help to find affordable housing in Toronto? Are you currently homeless or at risk of becoming homeless? Visit us at the East York Housing Help Centre, where we help people find housing and keep their present housing by offering a full suite of financial assistance and homelessness prevention programs.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Our East York Housing Help Centre housing professionals will assist you in finding housing that is suited to your needs and budget. This includes assistance with private market apartment searches, complete and update applications for transitional housing, supportive housing, and My Access to Housing (previously Housing Connections). Our housing professionals also help you with housing-related financial applications.

The East York Housing Help Centre can help you apply for different financial assistance programs to help you cover some costs associated with monthly housing expenses. This includes the Toronto Rent Bank which helps with arrears or first and last month’s rent, the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) which helps you with your hydro and gas bills if you are in arrears, and the Ontario Energy Support Program (OESP) which offers rebates to help lower your monthly hydro bills.

The East York Housing Help Centre has tenancy support specialists who can help you to stabilize your housing by assisting you to mediate with your landlord, supporting you with information about landlord and tenant rights and responsibilities and the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB), and connecting you to valuable community services that will help you stay in your home.
